WHERE
I'LL BE
I'm busy with theater and independent film these days. Here's the latest.
Crossing Delancey
A charming, sly, heartfelt romantic comedy set in New York City's Lower East Side. The play tells the story of Isabelle Grossman, who is determined to shed her neighborhood roots and live the life of an independent Manhattan woman. Her grandmother has other ideas and hires a traditional Jewish marriage broker to set her up with Sam (my character), an unassuming pickle vendor from the neighborhood. Can Sam win her over or will she fall into the arms of Tyler, the big-name author Isabelle met when he gave a reading at the fancy bookstore where she works? We run for five weekends at Ross Valley Playhouse in Marin, starting September 13.
